A Pennsylvania man was charged with failure to pay federal income and payroll taxes.
According to court records, Scott Lykens, 44, of State College, Pennsylvania, was the owner and operator of a medical billing company. The information alleges Lyken’s company withheld taxes from its employees’ paychecks, including Medicare and Social Security taxes, but failed to pay over to the IRS the taxes collected.
In all, Lykens failed to pay more than $1 million in withheld taxes between 2015 and 2019.
