A Republican candidate for the North Dakota state senate has an outstanding tax lien, according to report by a North Dakota newspaper.

Ryan Eckroth, a North Dakota native and former college football player, previously worked as a station manager for Delta and United Airlines at the Bismarck Regional Airport.

When contacted by The Forum, the newspaper in Fargo, North Dakota, Eckroth declined to comment about his tax lien.

“I’ve spoken with my lawyer,” he told the newspaper. “You guys can print the accurate information. I have no other comment.”
