We have just been notified by the IRS that we were able to reduce a taxpayer’s $295,865 tax liability to $7,500.
That’s a savings of $288,365!
Here’s how we did it.
Our first step was to make sure that the taxpayer was fully protected from any type of IRS enforcement activities such as a seizure or a levy or any bank account being frozen or any Garnishments happening and then we went to work on showing the IRS the taxpayers inability to pay. That’s key here. We have to prove to them that there is just an inability to pay on the part of the taxpayer We were working with a revenue officer on this case So we had to make sure that we kept in constant communication with the revenue officer not letting him fall asleep on the case We kept in almost daily communication with him throughout this the course of this case and when we finally got the resolution The taxpayer couldn’t have been happier. This wasn’t because of anything that the taxpayer had done wrong He’s in the roofing business and there was a shortage of materials for a long time after the pandemic There were all kinds of other issues taking place that were just out of his control.
