Following a five-day trial, a Florida woman was convicted of criminal tax offenses arising from a five-year scheme to defraud the IRS.
According to court records, Tamara Jeune, 44, of West Palm Beach, Florida, fraudulently obtained taxpayer information. She then used that information to file fraudulent federal income tax returns with the IRS. These tax returns contained false wages, employment information, expenses and deductions.
The IRS suffered a loss in excess of $700,000.
